If you do, you are so incredibly in luck! Imagine the thrill of owning this spectacular home in California! (Listing now missing)
Please note the fact that the current owner paid $450,000 for this.
Please note that the monthly payments (if you put 20% down – approximately $96,000) will be a bargain at a mere $2,307.
Please note there is no garage and outdoor laundry facilities.
And PLEASE NOTE the square footage!
My current motto: Friends don’t let friends buy real estate!

Sallie,
Uh, wow! I would say more, but I am without words =)
Bethany
Uh. Looks like I’m in the wrong career! I should be selling those things! (Do people really buy them?)
Lois
Flabbergasted? Yes! My mouth is hanging open in disbelief. That’s CRAYZIE!

Well, I believe it! When my husband and I lived in the Bay Area in California, we were paying almost $1000 a month in rent for a 500 sf apartment!

See why we left? I worked in Camarillo when we lived in CA.
Every day on the way to work I’d pass a sign in front of a (totally normal-looking) subdivision that always made me laugh: “STARTING IN THE LOW $1,000,000s!”
Wow…the LOW millions. Guess that’s in my budget, then!

I find these listings through another blog I frequent and I just cannot imagine it! I bring these up from time to time to just make people aware of the sheet MADNESS going on out there.

Another reason why I love living in Northern Canada…affordable housing!

This is so funny. A dear friend’s son lives in San Francisco – he and his wife bought their first house in the city – paying 800k for it, and boasted about what a deal it was!!! THe son is an attorney and his wife is a CFO of a large company. I am always shocked by housing prices on the ‘left coast’. We have it made in Atlanta! Although, Sallie’s roost is even more affordable than ours.
