If you aren’t keeping a journal of what you are living through right now, I encourage you to start jotting things down every day. Just use one of those cheap notebooks you stocked up on during back to school at Meijer if that is all you have.
Write down what happened in the USA and/or the world that day, how you felt, and what you think is happening. Do it every day. Just a few sentences or bullet points. Keep doing it between now and November 2024. You think you will remember everything that is happening, but you won’t. There’s too much and we forget the emotions and impressions of the immediate moment.
You are living through history. Keep a written record of it for future generations.

“The faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory.”
My Daddy (now 75yo) has kept “a book” since the early 80s, recording the day’s events and happenings. It is always fascinating to read through the events that you are so certain at the time that you will remember, however they slip from memory as years pass.
I sat with him one day so he would explain his method in detail. After showing me his routine, he said his only regret was that he didn’t start recording sooner.
